Sorry to hear this news, Spankster. Like UB and Fuzzy said, hang in there. Have fun in Lost Wages. If you're into Thai, give Lotus of Siam a try. Absolute best Thai I've ever had. Plus, the bill for dinner was not your ordinary LV experience of "bend over the table while I take your wallet and man pride". http://www.saipinchutima.com/

Hypothetically speaking of course, where would one go if one wanted the ordinary LV experience?

Well our experience will be at the Bellagio. We are going to me right smack dab in the middle of it. And the gambling part will be done by everyone else. We may bet each other if a certain player will be up or down while we are watching. We will take in a couple shows, a lot of people watching, and wondering in general if we should leave our room that day. Since we are not the gambling type LV has not been high on our go to list. But we figured what the hell.

I think Clive and his assless chaps et al. might be best qualified to answer your hypothetical question, I don't roll like that. Mr. Literal will answer... Because we, like Spanky, aren't big LV fans, my recent trip was only the 2nd in 20+ years. However, we did have a phenomenal meal at Seablue in the MGM (at 4x the cost at Lotus of Siam.) The other places we dined were McCormick & Schmicks (chain) and a decent, but expensive and forgettable steak joint. Aren't they all? One of the guys I was with had never been to LV and said he had no interest in gambling. The first night he watched a blackjack tutorial on tv in his room. Every night after that he was surfing from table to table playing blackjack and ended up winning a few $100's.

Sorry to hear spankster. Enjoy Vegas. I'm not a big gambler other than a little texas hold em and I love Vegas. As a matter of fact, I have a week long Auditor training course in Vegas the end of March. Can't think of a better place to have that. Hypothetically speaking of course, where would one go if one wanted the ordinary LV experience? The Monlight Bunny Ranch but that isn't within city limits.

Sorry to hear of the demotion from a salary reduction standpoint, but I know you've got to be relieved at the reduction in stress factor.

I don't suppose you will be playing any golf in Vegas.

CRAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well I could say a few cuss words and all that but Spanky said it for me. At least he still has a job. I know I keep telling myself especially after last month and the layoffs.
Vegas baby, here we come......... to bad I will keep most of my money. I might try the slots, my friend won $100 on the nickle slots in Shreveport so you never know.

Slots? I never understood the attraction. You pull a lever (well *feces*, you don't even pull a lever anymore - you just push a button) and watch symbols roll by. I walk by slots and look for the drool down the people's chins.
Gimme some craps and blackjack please.

First and foremost, sorry to hear about the demotion. Secondly, as far as LV goes make sure you see the show "Ka". Outstanding production. It's at the MGM Grand. Enjoy!
