I can't decide if this is cool or lame:
We live on a cul-de-sac with ~18 kids, aged 2-12. (They are not all mine.) As I mentioned in a thread somewhere, we have nice neighbors and really like the street we're on. The loose plan is that, after the young ones are to bed, we adults will mill about in the cul-de-sac, clutching baby monitors in one hand and drinks in the other, wandering between BBQ grills and chattering in the new year. One guy has a setup from his "band days", and he can give the end of the street a good musical dousing.
Pers, That actually seems cool to me. Great to have neighbors who you wouldn't mind partying with. However, the band on the lawn reminds me of the scene from Sling Blade.
