Ever "Discharge" A Fire Extinguisher?
« on: January 26, 2007, 06:55:13 PM » |

The big red canister kind. You know, pull the pin. Squeeze the handle, aim the hose. I never have. I have one hangin' in the garage. I'm tempted. Got it free when the the next door neighbors moved out. They're only about 18 bucks, I could buy another one. Although, it's dry chemical, not CO2. Probably make a big mess.

Ever "Discharge" A Fire Extinguisher? Normally you have to pay extra for that. And yes. We do fire safety training every year, and it includes the fire marshal lighting a fire behind the building and the employees taking turns putting it out.

I have discharged many. Unfortunately most of them were to put out fires. # times in the Navy and once at my current work this year.

We used to have fire extinguisher wars at work, until the fire marshall came through for an inspection. It's not done anymore.

stroh, be careful, you know how much you didn't like it last time you were covered in white stuff propelled from a nozzle when it got all hot.
