We are off for a swim soon!

I promised Georgia I would take her to the beach for a swim today. She changed her mind, and wanted to go to the gorge instead. This is probably better as I don't have to worry about deadly jellyfish (even though you swim inside the enclosed stinger net), the only thing, is that the gorge water is freezing cold!!!! I hope you all have a good afternoon (Friday night!!! ) A little picture of the gorge for you.

The gorge looks really cool. I've never heard of stinger nets before. That's interesting. (and a little disturbing)

lol @ candiru A well circulated myth is that the candirú is capable of swimming up the stream of urine in mid-air to a victim standing on shore or a boat, however this is physically impossible. This is because the maximum swimming velocity of the fish is opposed by the downward velocity of the urine stream, and the further impossible act of the 5-14mm wide fish maintaining position and thrust within a 2-7mm wide column of fluid.

Oh.... so the sharks don't worry you??.... what about the crocodiles at the gorge?? No croc's at the gorge (maybe its too high up), they are down in the river. So far we haven't had any shark trouble, they like to stay around the reef. I do know that around Double Island, and Snapper Island 15-20 minutes north and south of us, they do get Hammer Head sharks, around those islands. (these islands, are very close to the shore line)
