anyways, its an NVT ensemble MC package that samples the bulk configurational space (of a particular proprietary material of interest) for analysis of phase distributions  Grin

What kind of data structures are you using to store your data during the iterations? Are you writing the results back to file or are you storing it in memory?

some of each (some of the intermitttent file writing is in case of run crash)...


actually, the funniest part I got so far was I didn't think about the limitations of excel/open office/etc  to open output files.  that  1000000x10 or so  array doesn't work so well

So your output structure is 10 columns of numeric data by 1M rows?

What is the structure of your input data?
