A Public Holiday for a horse race??
« on: November 05, 2006, 02:19:26 PM »

That's right folks, tomorrow being the first Tuesday in November is the "Melbourne Cup", and for those of us that live in Melbourne it's a Public Holiday, however today being Monday is just another day. I should've taken the day off and had a four day weekend. It's 9:15am, and I'm freakin bored already. I'm debating about takin my laptop up to the Pub, and work from there.

By the way, does anyone have any hot tips for the race tomorrow??? Wink

Did most of your co-workers take today off or is it pretty full there?

I don't mind going to work on days that those.  The traffic is usually really light and no one bugs me at work.  I'm usually really efficient on days like that or I go to the range and show up late. Grin
