Explains your quick exit. We just figured the junk talk was making you nervous.

Hmmm. Running FF, and it's working okay for me. Running the current version?

Simple solution: don't use chat. Wink

Sorry, I know that was so unhelpful of me. Sad

Sorry I missed this.  I was out of town yesterday.

Weird error, I'm running the same setup, but I'm having trouble reproducing it. The "ModName: unknown" is odd, I'm looking into it.

Have you been able to use chat on this computer in the past?

Yes, but it's been a while.  I haven't been in chat much lately, and the last time was while at work.  It was a couple months at least before that session.

Only thing new on this laptop is iTunes.

Well I haven't been able to reproduce this on either my home or work machines, but checking the X7Chat support forums, it looks like others are running into problems with Firefox, quicktime, and X7Chat.

Firefox Crashes when entering the chatroom with new quicktime
http://x7chat.com/support...dex.php/topic,2972.0.html

They suggested disabling sounds in the chatroom, which I just did. (I never noticed any sounds before)

Let me know if you still encounter any crashes.

iTunes asks to install Quicktime, and every iTunes update alert asks about throwing Quicktime at me.  I've said NO every time, but maybe the initial install did include it or maybe iTunes has a QT module embedded within it ... ?

Anyway, I'll miss the chat sounds, as they masked the creaking of my leather asschaps.  But I'll deal.  Wink

hehe, I saw a count of 51 people in chat the other day.  I just made a change to the chat count, hopefully it helps. Fingers Crossed
