I got flat out blitzed last night
My neighbors and I were drinking as we passed out the candy. I was drinking a Cabernet, Lisa from across the street was drinking a reisling, her boyfriend... some cheap beer in a can
. After all the kiddies were done and we're still chatting it up, I decided that one bottle of wine wasn't enough, so I opened the last Oktoberfest in my fridge, followed by an 8% Pumpkin Ale. We finally broke it up around 10pm, I posted some
, then reclined on the loveseat to watch some TV..... and woke up at 1:30am in the same spot
. Feeling it today - ouch
Anyway - the kids were great - no 'old' ones without costumes, and plenty of little ones sharing jokes. The best was a small group of girls with one of them telling a joke to me (which I cannot recall), they all grab the goodies and start to leave, but I could tell the littlest one wanted to say something but was just too shy. So I stopped them all and asked the little one if she had a joke she wanted to tell. Shyly, she says 'yes', but doesn't start the joke - LOL. I gave her the go ahead and this is what I got:

Its funny when it comes form a shy, cute little girl; trust me.
Another little boy wasn't quite old enough to understand the concept - as I held out the candy bowl, he placed a reese's from his bag into my bowl, and left
. His parents laughed and moved on. Good times, good times.
