Sweet deals abound on HD-DVD.  I have $6k worth of HD electronics in the house and I'm stuck watching SD on a 720p display in the bedroom. Everything else is still in the box. Family room is torn down from previous install (including removal of 7' x 5' pine TV cabinet to basement) and is just waiting for the new gear. Unfortunately, Mr. carpet stretcher guy isn't available until tomorrow morning. Emasculating really having all this sitting around with maybe two hours of setup needed to go full-out HD (well, DirecTV has to wait until Wednesday). HD-DVD will be rocking by tomorrow night but guess what, I'll be upstairs watching MNF. I'd give it a miss and break the downstairs in with Batman Begins but it's the Steelers - no can do. I'm like a young girl who has decided to give it up on prom night... but the prom is next Friday.  |
