The secret to why male organisms evolve faster than their female counterparts comes down to this: Males are simple creatures.

In nearly all species, males seem to ramp up glitzier garbs, more graceful dance moves and more melodic warbles in a never-ending vie to woo the best mates. Called ****ual selection, the result is typically a showy male and a plain-Jane female. Evolution speeds along in the males compared to females.

It says 'evolve', not 'develop'

For example, since you developed into a ****ually mature individual and got laid for the very first time, you've invented and experimented with any number of tricks and gimmicks to trap a receptive female to copulate with you again. Perhaps it was the twirl, or you perfected some way to prevent embarrassing bodily discharges until the copulatory act was completed and your conquest had either fallen asleep or silently left the bed to return to her home or work. 

Whatever it was that worked successfully for you, it's possible that you'll pass that trick down to your progeny, and he will modify it slightly and pass it down to his progeny, and so forth and so on and et cetera. And they will perfect to the point that the stroh lineage becomes exceedingly robust, and everyone wants to be like a stroh descendent--if in fact they are not already one.  So you see, especially good copulatory tricks and stunts are the stuff--the meat and potatoes--of evolution.

Your 'development' was bound to happen, regardless of whether you chose to ever copulate at all.  But you certainly have control over your evolution, and I'm pleased to see that you've been trying to evolve ever since you were 16.  That is a marvelous commitment to evolution!!!
