In a bizarre twist, every single one of my regular web-haunts appears to be down, with the sole exception of golfhos.  Of course I too have been having router connectivity issues and my laptop's WiFi card has been just shutting itself off at random intervals, so it's possible that I just broke teh interwebs. |

LOL, it'll be interesting to see where this thread shows up in google. The "dump" thread is pretty high when you do a search for "kattare". It's actually in a very high-profile, desirable position (top of second page results) Something's in the air. I've been having wifi issues, too. As for earning money, getting a good position in google's search results is good for drawing lurkers here. This boosts the number of ad impressions, plus lurkers are generally more likely to click on an ad than regular members. So, I guess the answer is yes, but marginally. Some keywords/ads are worth much more than others. Golf ads generally don't pay very well compared to medical/legal/mortgage stuff. I've spent a lot of time tinkering with SEO (Search Engine Optimization) and experimenting with different techniques for this site. There are several tricks in how a page is laid out to boost your ranking in google, but I won't go into them. |
