How about starting again from 23. Nd8? sure, mention that after I delete the outdated moves from the database. I could do that, or I could just start a new game - one that I at least have a bit more of a chance to win.

I was only curious to see if you could have survived a bit longer and somehow have gotten yourself a queen since you did have more pawns remaining than Aske did.

Aske has never let me get a pawn across. Somehow, I don't think he would have let me this game, either.

Well, I tried renaming this one, but apparently dys won't lent me. Actually, I wasn't thinking of the Cantina; I was thinking of the stats center. Wouldn't want the top 10 threads by views to all be chess threads, would we? So new thread it is.

You know I meant getting back one of the pieces I had already lost in the previous game. I'm not planning on losing a single piece in game 2.

Uh oh. Here's what you could have done: Nd8 would have protected both b7 and f7, which are both being pressured by his queen. In addition, this would have taken your knight out of harm's way of his Rc1, and it would have freed up your bishop.
while that would probably prolong the game by delaying checkmate some 5-10 moves, the far better move imho was Q-b4+ That's if she wanted to force a Q4Q trade. Just from a points' standpoint, wouldn't a move like this increase her disadvantage since she's already down a bishop and a rook? points maybe , position and imminent doom, no. Well, she can still move her queen there on the next move. not if i keep her in check the whole time I forgot that you already moved your queen. To the exact spot her knight could have been defending. so if you had the game at the point and made the knight move you want I would move: Qb3-b5+ ...your move. Qd7
