I've been reading English literature lately, and early American History, along with some theology.  It seems to be a common term in those genre's.

I'll be working for that evil corporate giant Waste Managment.  Of course I'm starting out in the collection area (trashman), but, I'm collecting a lot of data about vermicomposting, and accelerated composting.

Vermicomposting on a large scale of say 100,000 lbs of worms per 'bed' can consume their own weight in organic waste per week.  This can result to as much as an 80% conversion to soil/plant ready material in 21 to 28 days.  There are several high volume swine farms in NC that currently use vermiculture to dispose of solid animal waste.  The worm 'castings' can sell for as much as 5 times the price of standard compost.

Accerlerated composting requires a greater initial capital investment than vermiculture.  The requisite water, oxygen, etc. supplies, automated tumblers (30-50 ton capacity) etc. ad naseum.  Yet this method can produce finished compost in a fortnight.

Of course I have a great deal more research to do, and then a presentation to put together.  The very worst they might do is say no.

Hopefully  managing the intial installation and process, monitoring the results.  Marketing and disposing of the 'castings'.  After that,......I don't know.
