Guitar sounded like chit. Not sure if it was setup that way or if the rain wreaked havoc. Prince is a weird cat. I recognize his talent but I don't really like him. I'd probably go to a concert but never buy an album. However, circa 1982, pretending to like Prince was a sure fire way to get invited over when momma was at work.

Meh. Perhaps Assless PantsŪ would've "peaked" my interest ...
(And Whiskey, I think he was finger-synching that guitar.)

I didn't think he was but, if so, that's even worse.

I sorta did, because it sparked a nice discussion about creativity.....first, someone remarked on how nice was the choreography/lighting, then someone else mentioned Prince as a guitarist reminded him of Jimi Hendrix in terms of skill, and before you know it, we were enjoying a high minded discussion on the limits of creativity, before someone finally brought it all down by bringing up a golf road trip.

I watched it. I enjoyed it. I kinda thought the same thing about the guitar, but I don't know enough about technique/music to know if it was good/bad/weather, etc. Seemed to me he was making the notes more by just manipulitaing the strings with his left hand....(I guess that's what Clive said)

I like Prince and think he's quite talented. I thought the halftime show sounded like *feces*. Noisy, noisy, noisy. Might have been bad audio mix, might have been rain. And I don't think he was "finger syncing."
