I've only seen them on the LPGA...if that means anything to you, Alice.   Wink

They are also played on the PGA.  I have not played them, but continue to hear positive feedback from those that do.  The common positive comment is that they will hold up very well for a variety of swing speeds.  Golfers who normally use an R shaft seem to be happy with them and golfers who may normally play an S shaft find that the R shaft holds up (meaning their timing is not thrown off) by this shaft even when they swing hard.

I am tempted to give them a try and probably will buy one for a test the next time I place an order with someone who handles them. From what I can see the best price on these is from Hireko.  But, for me Hireko is alway more expensive for shipping.  However, for a complete set the savings will more than offset shipping from the other suppliers I see selling them.

Aske you need to check with Larryd3. I'm 99.999% sure he's played them. And heaven knows he's played enough other shafts to give a fair comparison.

Clive is right.  This is a parallel universe.  Aske is posting about building clubs and asking questions about shafts.  Freaky.

Mack posted on (what am I supposed to call it, FIG?) that the Hump has a unique profile (soft butt with a very firm tip).  I don't believe people are saying they play overly stiff.  I haven't tried them yet but the unique profile probably fits certain swing types better than others.
