Went to a job fair today for truck drivers......

The missus was worried that I wouldn't dress professionally enough. I took her with me to let her get the answers to questions I wouldn't have thought to ask.
I wore your standard golf polo, some nice golf shorts, and sandals, (no socks).
When she saw what other potential applicants looked like, she was agog, I tell you, simply agog!
Raggedy, ratty denim 3/4 pants or long shorts, or whatever they're called and wifebeaters looked to be the uniform of the day. Tatts were in abundance too. My shaved head, handlebar mustache and well trimmed jawline goatee, were not at all out of place either.
Lots of shaved heads there today.

Here's a tip for 'Blue Collarish' job interviews:
Dress like you'd be ready to go to work if they asked you to right then.
Since most truck drivers also have to unload their loads, a suit is probably overkill.
