ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) -- For the first time Tuesday, baseball general managers recommended instant replay be used to help umpires make difficult decisions.
The recommendation, by a 25-5 vote, was limited to boundary calls -- whether potential home runs are fair or foul, whether balls go over fences or hit the top and bounce back, and whether fans interfere with possible homers Welcome to the 7 hour game!!!!

Only the people sitting in the stands watching bears and popes *feces*, because that's going to be much more exciting than watching some ass clown look at eleventyseven replays of a foul ball in a 7 to 1 thriller.
They get the calls right 98 pct of the time. Replay is going to improve that to what, 98.25 pct?

Yeah, but isn't it so much more interesting to focus on the 2% of the time they don't? Particularly when it's your team that gets screwed by it? Replay sucks pretty much universally. Getting occasionally jobbed by bad calls is just part of the game, in every sport. |
