Wow. These have to be folks who just recently bought homes though, right.  Don't Know The median home price in Vegas in 2005 went up something like 25%. And it was a hot market for a number of years before that.

So far our area has remained mostly unaffected by the housing market recession.  Fingers Crossed

This topic hits home a little. the wife really wants a new house. But I know to sell ours would be a lot of work and possible (most likely) a lot of time. I doubt we would have to short sell it but we wouldn't get too much more then we bought it for.
