HDR is high dynamic range. basically you take the same photo 5 times at 5 different exposures and then combine them all and tone map the finished photo.  |

a canon 400d 10.3 megapixel. exposures were 1/3,1/4,1/8,1/15,1/30 Excellent. I picked up a used Nikon D70 for a song the other day (my future daughter-in-law works on a camera store). I'm looking forward to taking some pictures through my telescope. |

basically using a sliding scale interface you can bring forward the best elements of the individual exposures including color, shadows, highlights to give the finished image some real punch. also help[s to make the image more 3d looking. it is done with patented software from Photo-matix. |

Beautiful picture. well, yes and yes. this is an enhanced one. but i shoot sunsets on a regular basis, some times every day depending on the cloud formations. you can really gets some spectacular ones. this one is actually a compilation of 5 totally different ones that i blended together. |

I thought you lived in The 'Hood.
we have lotsa lakes in the hood. my subdivision is surrounded by three of them. i live in waterford. if you hear gunshots at night, you live in the hood. we have more hillbillys than anything. there's been 2 murders and one barricaded gunman(2 houses away) in the last 10 years within my sub. i have convicted **** offenders living on 2 sides of me. yeah, i live in the hood. |
