Speaking of vacation
« on: August 07, 2008, 06:17:13 AM » |

So far 4 days and we have had only 4 arguments. Not bad.
First day was rough because our parents room was not ready. We unloaded both cars and had to have a porter move everything because they gave us new rooms.
Internet costs $10 a day so one day only and hos was on the bottom of the list.
When we get home a far more detailed post with pics and videos.
We are having fun though so "Rock on"!

Very nice! Enjoy. They go way too fast.
10 bucks? Even after being shuffled rooms. *fudge* that. Starbuck's run the joint?

I don't believe I've ever stayed in a hotel with free internet. I've stayed in a couple with hourly room rates, but that's a whole different ball of bacteria.

As odd is it may seem, during my travels I have found that the less expensive hotels (including those of the major chains) tend to offer free internet.

Yes, I've found it is free at HI express price point and at the Ritz price point, but not much in between.

Yes, I've found it is free at HI express price point and at the Ritz price point, but not much in between. More confirmation. Free at the Casino hotel @ 25 a night. Free at AmericInn @ 40 a night. But they charge up the ass at the water park hotel we go to downtown with the price for the room at a buck 99.

AmericInn
Corny name indeed. Not a bad chain though, especially if you have kids. Clean, free continental breakfast, free internets, and most have a pool. Recommended*. *I know a guy who works in their corporate office.

When we went to Gulf Shores, internet access (wired) was $25 for thee week. It was annoying that we had to pay for it after what we had paid for the condo. It was worth it to have it to look up restaurants, etc.
