Got the new TV

OK well it was a display model. 50" Panasonic Plasma (TH50PZ80U for Aske's sake) got it for 50% off. Problem is it didn't come with a stand. Had to order that through Panasonic   Right now it's just sitting there propped up against the table all dark and doing nothing. By tomorrow night it will be in it's place and ready to go. |

Will just have to be HD TV. All we have is a regular DVD player and I don't want to get Blu-Ray. I am pretty sure I can get HD on Demand from Verizon so we will see.

Being the owner of a 50" Panny Plasma (probably the model before yours), I predict you will love it  Oh, and my introductory HD program was Get Out! on HDNet  , by accident. I just went to HDNet for the HD test knowing they broadcast in 1080, and was pleasently surprised by the talent on that show |

I almost pulled the trigger on that model when my original HD unit died. Opted instead for the Samsung 61" HL61A750. The Panasonic is one of the top rated units. You'll enjoy it.
