I understand rules are rules, but it's tough to read about the little guy working his ass off chasing a dream, to possibly lose it all.

Sports have changed so much that only big money ever has a chance.  Big teams could weather this without even blinking. 

Hopefully things work out.

Well, the thing you got to understand is the lengths that all these teams go to to cheat. And they all cheat. If you get a motor from someone else the first thing you do is check to make sure it conforms.

The question i have is if this happened to one of the big teams would the penalty be the same? I don't think so. Wink

I thought the rule was 355 CID plus or minus ten percent, which gets you to 358 maximum.

I'm mixed on this one: I can see where 200k is a budget killer for Long and seems harsh, but rules are rules.

It wouldn't be fair to fine Long 20k and then turn around and fine RCR or Hendrick 200 large.

Totally agree.  Just a tough break for a guy trying to eek it out "on tour".  But yeah, rules are rules.
