in Portland, Oregon.  My #2 son and I with a friend of his and a single.  We played one of the Publinx on the SE side of town.  I don't know which one, but it was tight, ungorgiving and lots of fun.  I went out in 43 and came in with a 46.  Too many putts   OB into oncoming traffic is not really good is it?

I had played before relying upon a sharp/hard fade.  Sometimes called a power fade.  I had nothing but hooks, pull hooks, and suprisingly straight shots.  I know what causes the pull hooks, not so much the hooks or the straight ones.

My 'boy', doesn't own any clubs.  Since my current work schedule, food growing, and hunting don't allow all that much time for golf, I left my clubs with him.  Forged cavity backs.  Players club.  He's about a 30 cap.   I hope he learns to enjoy them.

MFAWG, I'm thinking I like the PAC NW.  Perhaps might wish to relocate to the Willamette Valley.  Any insight?

The I5 corridor between Portland and Salem is just booming, and we're almost to the point where there's not much separation between towns.

Food for thought: Washington has no personal income tax, and recent results at the polls suggest that that will not change any time soon.

On the downside, instead of The Bengals, Browns. Indians and Reds you have the Seachickens, Mariners and Jailblazers.

On the plus side, you have the Sounders and Timbers, and the rumor is that Portland or Seattle will be the next place that get's an NHL franchise relocated from some hockey hotbed like Dallas or Phoenix.

I've never been a fan of the Bungles, Blowns, or Injuns.  The Reds was awsome  during the days of the Big Red Machine.  I remember Crosley and the chain link between me and P Rose.  Dropped baseball like a hot rock after 'THE STRIKE /LOCKOUT' of 92.'


I know a couple of folks just north of the river in Washington.  They like it real well.  I just gotta convince Mrs. PaunchyBald.  You gotta wood chipper handy?
