Well.. after 7 weeks of being 'unemployed' and being Mr Mom, I finally have a new job. I've been appointed as State Underwriting Manager for the Victorian and Tasmanian operations of an insurance company here.  After countless interviews with recruitment agencies and dealing with some complete muppets therein, and a number of job offers that just didn't cut the mustard I accepted this new role from a company that approached me. ... now where are my golf shoes?? |

Thanks for all the kind words..Cheers Congrats mate! What type of insurance do you underwrite? I've been underwriting group Disability for the past 3 years. I mostly underwrite Property, Motor and Liability across Commercial and Domestic lines as well as Rural, including Crop and Livestock. Also in there is some Marine, PI and D & O and some Personal Accident on the back of Farm Packs. At the end of the day though it's all about risk, pricing the risk and return on investment....  |
