Painting Practice Golf Balls
« on: January 01, 2009, 05:18:31 PM » |

I've taken to hitting practice shots from my backyard into an field. Trouble is, there is a tree line along both sides, and sometimes the golf balls are hard to find. I was wondering if I could paint the golf balls, (yellow or red, something bright) so that they would be easier to find.
What about range balls? How do they get them so yellow?
I know that they're cheap, and I could get a net, but truth is I need the exercise and I don't mind it. Matter of fact I have a neighbor that does the same thing, but he doesn't go looking for his, so more swings for me!

Range balls have the die in mixture since they are a one piece ball.
You could go to Lostgolfballs and pick up a bunch of range balls for cheap. Or you could just spray paint. But paint will come off on your club probably so not a good idea.

painting them will end up being a constant mess on your club faces and not all that easy to clean off. range ball covers are pigmented. you can get used yellow range balls for next to nothing on ebay. http://cgi.ebay.com/150-q...|301%3A0|293%3A1|294%3A50and welcome.

Welcome to GolfHos!
Those clowns don't know *feces*.
Go to Gander Mountain or Cabella's and get a spray can of Blaze Orange Paint. Roll 'em out onto some cardboard and spray away. After they dry, take 'em out and spray away.

Geez, you don't know *feces*. Get the paint at Lowe's or Home Depot and don't pay the big bucks the sporting goods stores charge.
