The Perfect Hole
« on: July 01, 2008, 07:55:38 PM »

Stop.  I've heard it.

So, today my buddy J.D. played the #2 index eighteenth hole perfectly.  Massive drive to the center of the fairway.  Long iron draw (he fades) to a tucked, over the bunker, back left hole location.  Drains the 15' putt to beat my bogey and win the day 45-46.

I drove today and one hour on the freeway home I thought about his play pretty much the whole time.  I've never seen a hole played better.

Obviously aces and hole-outs beat exceptional birdies but they don't often happen on brutally difficult holes.  Props.

Props indeed to J.D. They don't happen often but I know where you are coming from. Playing, or watching someone play, a hole "perfectly" is very cool.

When I played last Monday I birdied #10. Definitely in the top five of my nemesis holes as I am happy to walk away with a bogey.

Perfect drive, well hit iron shot hit to the perfect spot below the hole, 12 foot birdie putt. It's what keeps me playing.

LMAO!

 Cheers  J.D.

(I've had 2 of those holes myself this year.  Done in the presence of people who far outweigh my ability(One was Karen's oldest brother.  Very intimidating), so it was nice to show them I can actually play this game.  Probably in the top 5 of my proudest moments on the golf course in my life.  Cool )
