The 10-4 was suited - but still a bad call. I think he did it because he had chips and because Phil pissed him off.
I watched later when that woman caught a card to beat all-in pocket 10s. The dude was pretty respectful but did blurt out 'how do you make that call?' at least once. Well dude - she had 1,000,000+, you had 200,000 (I think) - that's how she made that call. Sometimes it is just about having the chips.
I did beat two guys in an online tourney a week ago that got pissed. I busted the first one out because I was watching his play and knew what he was doing - very predictable. He raised pre-flop but not a lot, I was in the blind so I called with 10-8. The flop comes up 3,6,8. His face cards didn't hit (my read on him after being in a dozen pots with him), but he pushed all-in. I called and sent him packing. He got unbelievably pissed, I was an idiot, etc. All because he didn't bet enough to get me off my blind, and I had him read dead to rights after the flop.
Same with the next guy - who wasn't even in the pot. I was check-calling second pair. The guy made a huge raise on the river, one guy folds, I call after a few moments thought. I figured him for a bluff, and I was right - he had chit. Some other dude at the table starts calling me an idiot, I was going to bust out next, etc. One guy did speak up and say the bluff was obvious, but that didn't stop smack talker. Water off my back though. Anyway, I'm at the final table of the tourney - the guy that said I sucked was not.
