Golfing Holiday.
« on: November 05, 2008, 07:44:18 PM »

I played golf today, and I sucked big time, I had the worse game.
I'm a bit worried about my golf at the moment, as Russell and I are going for a golfing holiday to the Gold Coast again (I should say annual Gold Coast Golf Holiday), for seven days with seven days of golf.

I hope my game improves. Undecided

The good thing about getting old, is that you can hit the ball out of sight.

It will come around, and you'll have a great time.

What part is giving you trouble?

Think tempo.  Stay balanced.  And most important:  Drive down, and through the ball.  Finish at your target.

I started off pretty well.
Then we got held up for 5 holes by a bunch of old biddies (my mother was in that group) who would not let us through.  I was pretty cranky, and I was really pissed off with my mother.

My golf preceded to get worse and worse, and I think I was trying too hard to hit the ball, I was really trying to flog the *feces* out of it. Embarrassed Embarrassed

Ah.  The harder you try to hit it...(to make it go farther/better)  the worse it gets.

Smooth, easy and in tempo.  Leverage.

Try to watch some video of Annika or Se Ri Pak.

Stroh, I took your advice yesterday, I didn't try and "whack" the ball, I thought of tempo all day, and I ended up with 37 stableford points (1 under my handicap).  Cool Grin
