Wow! Nobody's yet posted: "I shoulda pulled out."
I kinda wanted to see GolfHos member Larry Craig's submission to this thread.

You've seen enough of the Trek to know that if you take back or change those three things (or even one), then you will have changed the now. For the most part I kinda like the now, even though the getting here had it's moments, I still like the space I occupy.

1 I wouldn't have put on a bunch of weight to play football prior to jr high. 2 I would have applied myself more in high school. I did enough work to pass with less than stellar grades. I proved myself after getting out of the USAF that I can do it, as I was on the Dean's list every term. 3 When my dad told me I had one shot to go to college on his dime, I would have gone to the Univ of North Dakota in the aviation program and become a pilot. Instead I became a welder. I thought I'd get a good job in the oil patch during the oil boom of the late 70's - early 80's. I really blew that one.

I would have finished college then instead of now! Could of, should of, would of! Can't change the past, can only teach my kids that it is easier to finish school while you are younger than when you have kids of your own.

If I change things in the past (working harder in school, sticking with track in 7th grade), I'd never have met my wife and I wouldn't have this life. No trade, thanks.

Kidding aside I lean this way too. I am very happy right now. There are small choices I could have changed but major life decisions I wouldn't change at all. I have a wonderful family, great friends, a good job. And in less then 3 weeks I'll be playing golf with a bunch of you at a great course. How can I complain.

Look at how far Bible Spice climbed without one. There are a lot of investment bankers with MBA's standing in lines these days

In all seriousness, my life is actually kind of a mess right now. I've spent a lot of time lately thinking of things I might have changed if I had the chance. The thing is, I'm not convinced had I done things differently, my life would be any less of a mess.

I would have dumped all my stocks about 8.9 years ago and paid off the house , sold the house 2 years ago, and converted the proceeds to Euros. Other than that, I wouldn't change a thing.
