Start packing.
Actually, it makes me consider becoming an MD and moving to some ultra small hick town. Then whenever these people come to the (only one in town) hospital, I'm on duty (no other doctors in town) and someone's in labor for example... "Oh, I'm sorry, you plan to raise this child as a-holier than thou-institute my religious beliefs on you-yada yada yada.... sorry , I refuse to treat you , have a nice day with the natural birth and no pain meds" or a "I'm sorry, I can't give you that antibiotic since you don't believe in evolution , enjoy dying in the next 48 hours from a commonly curable condition"

At least not around here. And I imagine lawsuit-fearing hospitals will be on their toes as far as refusing treatment. refuse to participate in any procedure they find morally objectionable, including abortion and possibly even artificial insemination and birth control.

Clearly, certain types of so-called 'Christians' are morally unsuited to working in modern public health facilities.
There's nothing wrong with that, as long as they realize it and get the *fudge* out.

Therein lies the rub. Under this new law, a "Christian" health worker could get a job at a clinic and refuse to do the work he/she was hired to do while being protected from termination. Furthermore, the current EEO laws prevent clinics from screening prospective employees on this basis.

I think a hospital certainly CAN refuse to hire someone if that persons religious beliefs prevent them from handling pork in the cafeteria, or dispensing birth control in the pharmacy. In other words: A hospital can't refuse to hire someone because they are Muslim or Catholic, but they can certainly refuse to hire them if they are unable to perform their basic job functions for any reason. My question would be why would such a person apply for such a job in the first place?

Do you people realize the far reaching benefits this thing will have for MRI techs that aren't up for hitting the ground running because they are hung over on Mondays or look to squeak out for some afternoon golf in the spring?

Is that policy or do the girlies typically ask for somebody else after you creep them out with your ghey Minnesota finger-pointing thing? "OK, we're now going to lie down and go for a little ride. We're just going to slide into the hole. It'll take only few minutes. I promise."
