Stevie puts down Phil

I will agree with Phil on one thing - Bones is a class act.  That is all I'm taking away from this story  Wink

LMAO.  I read that right before I left today.

Fun to see how El Tigre deals with it.

In the article I read (Yahoo I think)  they reference an incident where Stevie heard a fan yell out "Hey Phil, nice *funbags*!"

The Mickelson camp responded with "It wasn't Phil in that exchange.  It was a European player."

Thats funny right there.

I have no problem believing that Phil is a prick, but I wouldn't want to be Steve when the callerID reads "Eldrick Woods".  Just sayin.  Cheesy

Phil may very well be an ass but Steve looks like the bigger one now.  He really should STFU.  It's not like Tiger couldn't win with anyone on his bag.

Something's wrong when a caddie can be referenced on a first name-only basis.

Love Stevie, but yeah: If that's what he said, then he needs to go. He may be New Zealand's highest paid sportsman, but at the end of the day, he's just the caddie.

I disagree.  He called the guy a prick.  Maybe Phil is a prick to Stevie.  We'll never know.

PR nightmare for sure, but I don't believe he deserves to be fired.

How many crew chiefs do you think have said "That guy(driver) is a prick!" ?  It just doesn't get the play of a Tiger/Stevie.

Do you fire the crew chief?

There's EVERY possibility at the Cup level that the crew chief gets fined an 'Undisclosed Amount' for 'Actions Detrimental To Stock Car Racing' by the men that live in The Trailer for the language alone.

Other than that, it's an apples to oranges comparison. As much as I like Stevie, he's no Chad Knaus or Greg Zipandelli even on the golf course. He doesn't determine course strategy, build the clubs, or pick the equipment.
