Yup. You read it right. Nope, there's no punchline.

And everyone I have talked to that has been to one of his shows say it's up there with one of the best events they have ever attended. An utterly fantastic show. I would if I had an opportunity. If memory serves, last time he was here it was sold out instantly and rather spendy. Enjoy. Bum Bum Bum!

Word. The best part is, I'm going for free. I know a guy.

I saw him at the Summerfest Amphitheater in Milwaukee in 1987. IIRC, it was a free ticket as well. Also IIRC, it was a much better show than I had anticipated.

I saw him about 15-20 years ago. I remember it being a good show, but it doesn't really stand out in my mind.

As far as I'm concerned, he fully rehabilitated himself on The Last Waltz. I mean, that's when I finally 'got' him, when it dawned on me that every generation needs a balladeer and he was our best. good on you

Echo what Stroh said. One of my dearest headbanger friends told me it was the best show he's ever been to. Look forward to the feedback.

Neil has a ton of hits, some he sung himself, and a lot others have made hits with. My all time fave. I Am I saidDid you ever read about a frog who dreamed of bein' a king And then became one Well except for the names and a few other changes If you talk about me, the story's the same one
But I got an emptiness deep inside And I've tried, but it won't let me go And I'm not a man who likes to swear But I never cared for the sound of being aloneAnd Hot August Nights 1, is still one of the best live albums evar!

Kickass!
If you can't go see Metallica at the first of the month, and see this at the end, you're not a man!

I'll give the old man this- he puts on a good show. He lost me, though, at "we have a new album and would like to play some songs from it."
