There's this thing called eBay and people are selling hard to find, out of print, sci-fi books at reasonable prices.  Who knew?

I could be in big trouble.

These aren't hard to find, but I got a few sci-fi classics for Christmas.  (ones I'd never read but have run across many references to, so felt I should read)

The Moon Is a Harsh Mistress - Robert A. Heinlein
Childhood's End -  Arthur C. Clarke
The Stand - Stephen King
Ender's Game - Orson Scott Card

Cool Dys.   I've read all of those.  The Stand only once though.  It's worth reading but tough to pick up a second time.  Smiley

Ender's Game is one of the best sci-fi books ever.  Written for children but a very compelling read for adults.

I just snagged Julian May's Pliocene Exile + Intervention + Galactic Milieu series(es) (sp?)  Huh?  Nine books total.
Also R. A. MacAvoy's The Book of Kells

Both top notch, kick ass, female authored (rare enough) sci-fi which I haven't been able to find in 10+ years.

Books (with mostly words and hardly any pictures save for the one on the front cover)?

That's an outstanding list of Sci-Fi Dys.  I've read them all at least once.

And I agree, "Ender's Game" is an great book.  I read the third book in the series, "Speaker for the Dead", also great.
I skipped the second book at the suggestion of a fan of the series, but I think I might read it anyway.
