Oklahoma-Florida (non-spoiler) Let the pregame GolfHos hype begin.
« on: January 08, 2009, 06:49:17 AM » |

It's my Saturday, finally worked a normal week, and I have energy to sit down and type. I don't see Florida losing this game (sorry Walfredo), wish I was as good as aske at charts and figures so I could lay it out for ya', buttttttt, I ain't. Oklahoma hasn't had a very good run in bowl games of late, not sure if it's the lay off that hurts, maybe Stoops isn't the best motivator for big title games. Meyer on the other hand . If Oklahoma can stop Floridas run, it should be a great game, but Florida just has too many weapons. I say Gators by 10. What say you.

Even though I live in SECville, the best team I saw this year was Oklahoma Texas Oklahoma St Texas Tech Oklahoma.
If both teams play their best game, Florida doesn't have a chance.

If both teams play their best game, Florida doesn't have a chance. I think if both teams play their best game we're going to have a classic. Something along the lines of USC-Texas a couple of years ago.

Florida by 7. Utah still gets hosed. Lots of wailing, gnashing of teeth, outrage and incense over the BCS system for a week or two. Nothing changes.

If both teams play their best game......
I think if both teams play their best game......... Why do you hate Vegas Mafia Bookmakers? LOL. So let's check the veghasmhafiabookhmakers.com OK has lost two key players. Player: DeMarcus Granger DT, Oklahoma Sooners 12/17/08, Time: 1:39 am Status: Out News: The Oklahoma Sooners lost a key component of their defensive front when DT DeMarcus Granger underwent back surgery and will not play in the national championship game. Granger added quality depth to the team's front seven rotation and played in 11 games this season. (SportsBuff.com) Player: DeMarco Murray RB, Oklahoma Sooners 12/16/08, Time: 3:09 pm Status: Out News: Oklahoma's top running back DeMarco Murray will miss the national title game due to a hamstring injury. Murray's injury required surgery, which will knock him out of the bowl game against Florida. (SportsBuff.com) Right now FLA is a 5.0 favorite with an over under of around 71.5. Clearly the mafia wants some betting action and they're expecting a shootout.

71.5 huh? With OK scoring 60 points each of their last whatever games that seems a little low.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that they ain't gonna score 60 on Florida. True but I can see both teams getting around 40 each Maybe...I'll still take the under...just barely though. I don't think OK has faced a defense like FLA's this year. Utah still gets hosed...I say Utah is going to be the loser. I love the 13 and 0 argument I really, really do. But there's this whole strength of schedule thing. I'd welcome Utah into a stronger conference, bring them and Boise State into the PAC-10, they'd give SC a run for the money I tell you what. A wise man once said: "Don't... Don't believe the Hype!" He was a poet and a philosopher!
