The Minnesota Zoo has always been exotic, and for Valentine's Day it's getting downright erotic.

Tickets for the zoo's fifth annual Love Tour are on sale for anyone 21 and older who wants a glimpse into the private lives of various animals.

After the tour, offered Feb. 13 and 14, dinner will be served in Discovery Bay.

Visitors will join the tour "every 15 minutes, led by a zookeeper," said zoo spokeswoman Kelly Lessard. "They'll stop at different exhibits and talk about the different mating and breeding habits of the animals."

And might they see, um, uh, you know? "I suppose, if they happen to be doing that at the exhibit," Lessard said.

I remember there was nothing better as a young boy in elementary than to catch a glimpse of two dogs humping on the playground.  And the one who loudly announced it to the class to get everyone to run to the window, was the coolest.

Krabappel: All right, class, who would like to read "The
Daffodils," by Wordsworth.
Bart: I'll do it.
Krabappel: No thank you, Mr. Wisenheimer. Sherri.
Sherri: I wandered lonely as a cloud,
That floats on high o'er vales and hills ...
Nelson: Hey, look at those dogs going at it!
[the class crowds over to the window. The point of view
switches to let us see two dogs fighting over something]
Fightin' over a fan belt.
Milhouse: Dogs are outstanding.

A young Sioux boy asks his father, one of the tribe elders, "Father, how did we get our names?"

To which the father replies, "When I was born, my father looked up and saw a beautiful eagle soaring in the blue sky, so my father named me Soaring Eagle. When my father was born, my father's father heard a wolf howling in the distance, so your grandfather was named Howling Wolf. When the chief of our tribe was born, his father gazed out and saw a bear running through the brook and named his son, our chief, Running Bear. Do you now understand, Two Dogs *goshdarn*?"

you might be right, especially if we are to find out the zoo possesses an Argentine Lake Duck exhibit.  If so, no doubt the tour guides carry smelling salts....for the ladies, of course.
