18 holes in SLC on Feb. 8th.  In shorts.  OK, so maybe shorts weren't quite warranted given temps in low 40s, overcast, raining, so forth. And maybe the fact I was the only gob*feces*e on the course in shorts, to include all the guys in covered carts with propane heaters, should have told me something. But a halfling's gotta do what a halfling's gotta do. I did wear shoes. |

 Yep, Wingpointe it is. Rose Park and Glendale are supposed to be open too. Well, yesterday this is. Not today that's for sure. Six inches at my house so far and the forecast looks like that might be it for golf in February.  |

I rode past Rose Park on Saturday and it was gated up. Not even the driving range was open. Glendale might well be open, but who the hell would want to play it this time of year? Half the fairways are swampy even in the middle of July. I hate that course.
As for the weather- yeah, it's coming down hard at my place but virtually nothing so far in the valley. Didn't stop the commute from being a complete cluster*fudge* though.

I went snowboarding yesterday and was able to take the jacket off because we had the same temps as you.  We typically have to wait until March when some of our dog tracks typically open. |

Spacey, I've cleared ~20" so far today and it's still coming down hard. Heavy, heavy stuff. Our neighborhood is not drivable and I suspect 89 isn't much better. "Sorry boss, catch you tomorrow... or Wednesday."

Wearing shorts today?? No shorts. Snowshoes. Holy chit. The plows just came by and built a 4' berm across all the drives. My daughter's school is just up the hill and apparently the berms up there are massive. People are trying to come get their kids and can't get in/out. I plan on hiking up there to get my little one at 3:30. Lake effect ftw. Spacey is at about the same altitude and < 20 miles away. He gets an inch. I get two feet. |
