If they don't at least try to give him a chance at starter, their fans should realistically give up.

The radios are all abuzz about it up here. I say go for it, we have some guys for him to throw to.(not to mention the opposing DE's ) I don't know about 2 things. 1) His injury. 2) Say he does un-retire again, then he has lost all credibility in life, let alone sports. He won't look like some hero in the end, he look like a doofus. Someone close to him should tell him "Dude, don't. Seriously." Kinda like what never happens in 'Merkan Idol.

The way I see it, you really have nothing to lose. You're not going past the 1st round without improving the QB situation unless the Mullet 'bradys' the opposing team's QBs

I have no problem with the move, other than; I'm just tired of not having a solid franchise guy at QB. I mean even if he sucks. (only for a season or two) 3 crappy guys is worse than one decent young guy that has 10 years in front of him. Brady, Roflburger, et al. We should have gotten Cassel or Cutler, or even D. Anderson after sucking last year. Either way, you're right we ain't goin' nowhere with what we have now.

^ Breaking News. Here we go......................... http://sports.espn.go.com...nfl/news/story?id=4142857Minnesota Vikings head coach Brad Childress and quarterback Brett Favre plan to meet at an undisclosed location later this week to discuss the possibility of the former Packers and Jets quarterback renouncing his retirement from the NFL to play the 2009 season with the Vikings, according to a source with direct knowledge of discussions between the two parties.
There is a mutual understanding that sometime soon thereafter Favre will decide whether to sign with the Vikings. The team would expect him to participate fully in offseason minicamps and training camps, which he missed last year with the Jets.

You would think the Vikes could get 15-20 td's and 25-30 Int's with Sage at QB and much less of a media circus. As both a packer and a favre fan, I can say with a distinct bias that he is very far from the Favre we would like to remember. And that is on a personal and athletic level. He's essentially acting worse than Jay Cutler IMO. And on the field he has lost his arm, but still has the I want to prove I'm Favre attitude. So he throws it into windows of coverage he can't fit the ball in anymore. And when he gets pressure he just throws it up in the air about 30-40 yards down field. Epic fail this year if he plays.

Favre went from being Bruce Willis cool to Woody Allen in two short years. So was he always a *8==>*head but sporting a shiny veneer? Or is this a recent development? Epic fail this year if he plays.
I agree. Look out Vikes - instant karma's gonna get you.
