When conservatism was cool.

Can't imagine he gets a lot of love from the trickle up crowd around here.   Shocked

Kemp was described as a Republican voice in the wilderness on all manner of social issues, from the civil rights movement of the 60's all the way through his having to cowtow to the lunatic fringe on gay rights during his White House runs.

He was a supply side fundamentalist, but that was before we had pretty much figured out that *feces* doesn't really work.

Throw in being in the AFL Hall of Fame, and there was alot to love.

My step-grandfather that told me to read Atlas Shrugged when I was 13 had a man crush on Jack Kemp.  He wanted him to be president so bad.

Sad news.

Cancer is the suckage.  Another good man gone  Cry

I never really thought Kemp was 'all that', but he was a good man.
