KFC Double Down

lmao! Two slices of cheese, two slices of bacon between two chicken pieces as the "bread." Aargh, it's only being test-marketed in Nebraska and Rhode Island. KFC tests out new bunless burger to rave reviews in America's heartlandhttp://www.vancouversun.c...rtland/1917736/story.htmlThe chemistry whizkids at what used to be called Kentucky Fried Chicken before 'fried' became a word with negative connotations have come up with what they believe may be the year's big fast food burger seller - and it doesn't include bread. Behold, the Double Down. The creation features a dollop of the Colonel's secret sauce wrapped in a slice of both Pepperjack Cheese and Swiss Cheese, between two slices of bacon and two filets of KFC original recipe chicken that serve as the 'bread' of the burger. That's right - instead of bread, you get breaded chicken. Multiplied by two. The Double Down is generally considered to be a big success thus far in the areas it has been tested, with management at a KFC outlet in Omaha Nebraska telling Australian reporters that the 'sandwich' had exceeded expectations. ... (more...)

I don't understand why Australian reporters were in Nebraska??
I wouldn't consider it to be a sandwich without any bread, wtf is that all about?? It's just cheese and bacon between to pieces of chicken..

It's better than the Carl's Jr. Low-carb burger. Instead of bread you get lettuce for the bun.

Gawd, I miss Inn-N-Out I've tried the carl's jr version, but not the in-n-out one. Too much lettuce to meat ratio in each bite for my taste. I'm not completely against bun-substitutes I went to an event a few weeks ago that ran out of burger buns, so I put a patty between portobello mushrooms instead of bread and that was excellent.

The In-n-Out Protein Style appears to have only one layer of lettuce.

The new KFC Double Down sandwich is superb! This one-of-a-kind sandwich features two thick and juicy boneless white meat chicken filets, two pieces of bacon, two melted slices of cheese. This product is so meaty, there’s no room for a bun! Wow, that is great indeed.

KFC's marketers are paying college coeds $500 to wear red sweat pants with "No Buns" on the seat.
I think this breaks an important barrier that has been sort of aggravating me for a while now.
Next time I go into a store to buy more golf shirts, if they have a logo on them, I'm going to demand the clerk pays me to wear it. If they don't, I'll do something disorderly so I get arrested and then I'll get my attorney to bring it all the way to the supreme court.
