Don't Your Feet Get Cold in the Wintertime?
« on: September 04, 2009, 09:24:52 PM »

The flip-flop conversation in the Aske/Walmart thread reminded me of something I'd been meaning to ask, but forgot at the time.

In this thread,
How many pairs of shoes should a hetero****ual man own? , some of you have 3-4 pairs of flip-flops.

I was wondering why so many flip-flops.  For triple/quadruple redundancy in case a pair dethongs? (I don't know the term for when they fall apart)  Different colors or maybe for different terrain conditions?

I posted something in the other thread at the same time.

I have worn mine in the winter in MN. I currently have two pair down from three in the thread you linked.

Cold is an interesting debate. Every year I am less and less tolerant of it. But my I guarantee my definition of "cold" is quite different from yours.

Laughing  Boy howdy.

I can only speak on my daughter's behalf.  Even so, I think her/the only defense is that they come in so many colors/styles/etc.

She has a pair in every color for every outfit.  Some cheap($0.99)  Some more so(5 to 8 bucks.)  All colors, shapes, etc.

Fur lined straps,  bejeweled deals,  High School Musical,  Stars and Stripes,  Hell  you name it.

I would say less function, and all form, if that begins to answer the question.
