let me get this straight , according to the "experts" SD, NE, CHI were all high picks to make it to the AFC / NFC title games...
LMAO. I'm not saying nothing is impossible, but none of them looked good in just about any way this week.
Merroidman is a shell of his former self.

Funny you left Pittsburgh off that list. They weren't looking so sporty themselves for 90% of that game.

But your apparent lack of any sort of running game has got to be concerning. Life and die off the D and Big Ben's playmaking worked last year. But can it happen again. If you could run the ball, you'd run away with the title IMO.

If you could run the ball, you'd run away with the title IMO. Their running game should be shotgun based screens, flats, and pitches. I agree but then you get into a college spread like attack territory. From my experience watching a team like the Sooners go through the trials and tribulations of such an offense for the past 10-12 years we've dabbled in it; I can say that it wasn't until we mixed in a traditional in between tackle fire off the line style old school running attack we became truly a balanced offense. Shotgun based running attacks kill you in short yardage situations and goal-line. You become dependent on the pass in those situations and get burned and lose lots of confidence after not getting that short yardage at the big point in the game. The NFL is all about those moments and you must be able to run it down a team's throat at key points in drives. And you can't do that now and won't ever if you go to that style. It is harder blocking both styles during the game so maybe that is something to consider.
