How Much Beer Do You Stock in the House?

How much beer do you keep in the house for normal (non-party) usage? Or other alcohol if that's your regular beverage.
I used to just buy a 12pack at a time whenever I would go to the supermarket or drugstore and store everything in the fridge. These days I'm tempted to buy in bulk at Costco, but I don't have a good place to store cases.

A 30 pack every other day. A fifth of Jack and Jose every week. Some 2 buck Chuck for the wife occasionally. Sometimes more, sometimes less.

I buy a 20 pack for every weekend during football season. Usually lasts till next weekend unless friends stop by. When you roll like I do alcohol isn't so important. A cold beer is a prerequisite to a football game though.

Darla usually has a case out there. 1.5l of Jack and Skyy Vodka, 750 of something else either another brand vodka or Crown or something like that. Beer usually lasts a week. All else a couple weeks to a month or so.

Holy *feces*, I am a piker compared to you guys!
I usually have a 6 pack of 'Something nice', although it may be 2 or 3 different brands, ie:
3 Black Butte Porters, 2 Pintail Ales and a Blue Moon,
and a 6er of 'Domestic Lager', usually PBR, Coors or similar.
ALWAYS have most of a fifth of JD laying around.

I had this picture in my mind of MFAWG spending his days figuring out how to collect 17 dole checks, stealing lawn tools and beating up his daughters.
Although the fifth of JD bit does seem to transcend definitions.

Usually 12-18 beers, as I do not drink but a few days during the week and all my weekend drinking is at a bar (check that - tomorrow it'll be a winery  ). My wine fridge is more than half full (48 bottle capacity), but I really only drink 3-4 bottles a month so it goes slowly. I have loads of liquor around though - fully stocked bar and all. Sometimes I'll get into the scotch, but not often. |
