Plans?

I can't remember the last time I stayed up 'til midnight to "Ring It In".
The last time I tried was 99/00 just to make sure the world didn't come to and end. I made it to about 11:20.
This year, probably the same. No big parties, or traveling. We may have some of Karen's family over, but they won't stay 'til 12.
Although, with the advent of "Hos", I have stayed up past 12 or 1, a few times yakkin' it up.
Ya'll?

We are much the same, as you Stroh, nothing too rowdy for us!! If you go out, it is all young people pissed and off their faces on some chemical, fights happening everywhere, and you can't get a taxi home!!! Besides, we are playing golf everyday over the new year long weekend, so we have to be semi healthy!!!

No big plans here either. My oldest wanted to stay up last year but crashed out at 11:45. She's making another attempt this year to see the ball drop. It's her Everest at this stage of her life. I'll probably check in here to see if anybody is around. Perhaps MP could give an Aske-like play by play of his evening for us "older" folks

I can't decide if this is cool or lame:
We live on a cul-de-sac with ~18 kids, aged 2-12. (They are not all mine.) As I mentioned in a thread somewhere, we have nice neighbors and really like the street we're on. The loose plan is that, after the young ones are to bed, we adults will mill about in the cul-de-sac, clutching baby monitors in one hand and drinks in the other, wandering between BBQ grills and chattering in the new year. One guy has a setup from his "band days", and he can give the end of the street a good musical dousing.

We were supposed to be away so we made no plans. Now we aren't away and we have nowhere to go Maybe just round to a friend's house. I don't even hate the thought of just staying in. I think that's when you know you are getting old.

When my wife says it, it's cool, though.

Sounds good to me Persimmon, you don't have to worry about driving home, you can drink what you want, and go to bed when you want!!!!!

We have practically zero neighbors, and would have to drive up the stree to get to the ones that would have a gig like that. I'm envious. Have fun!

No plans right now. We'll probably end up at our friend Trent's house, who's the same guy who throws the big xmas party, so you can do another over/under on how long I stay in bed on Monday.
