I just saw their commercial in which they admitted their pizza is crap and say that they've changed everything to improve it.

I loved how they said, "We heard your complaints that our pizza tasted like the cardboard box we deliver them in"

I mean, I'm sorta glad it wasn't just me.

Has anyone tried the "new and improved" version?

Back in my college days we'd call them (pay phone, pre-cell phone days) and place an order as we were leaving the watering hole.

Ordered a pizza last week.  I assume it was the new one.  I liked it, but I have always liked their pizza anyway.

Historically, there have been two barriers for me.

1) The cardboard taste
2) Domino's profits redirected to 'social programs', e.g., roaming packs of Christianist death squads

Plus I don't think they employ that 975 degree blast furnace; 90 second cooking time that you rave about.

I think it's a great commercial.  It definitely got my attention.

I have fond memories of Dominos.  When I first tried their pizza as a kid, I loved it.  The sauce was great.  Haven't had it in a long time though.

It seems like there's some sort of pizza war right now starting with the bowl games and continuing through the nfl playoffs.  Some serious promotions/deals and even more commercials than usual from dominoes, pizza hut, papajohns, papa murphy's etc.  I ordered a Pizza Hut pan pizza for the first time on a while last week.

i guess honestly, I'll give them 1 try...  especially at the price.... we haven't had domino/hut/john's/etc  chain pizza  in probably 3-4 years at least.... always use the mom and pops, just seem to be better ingredients, and especially crusts...   i honestly even like digiorno and bake at home more than the last memories of chain delivery  pizza ...

I tried the new Domino's pizza tonight.  I thought it was good.  Definitely different than before, and for the better.  Even my wife, who is anti-chain store in general enjoyed it.
