that's a shame.  i lived in the South Jersey/Greater Philly Metro area for 2 and a half years until just recently and went to a few Phillies games.  great stadium and for the most part great fans.  never had any trouble there, even wearing my Padres gear to a Phils/Padres game.  got some good natured *feces* for it, but when i explained i am from SoCal they understood and were very cool.  that said, they do have some *goshdarn* knuckleheads back there.

What a mother *goshdarn* douche bag!!  Angry

"She was crying and that's difficult to see as a dad," Vangelo said.

Damn straight!

So Vangelo stepped in and with help from fellow fans, held Clemmens down( and should have been beating the ever loving piss out of the *fudge*er) until police arrived. The Vangelos thought the night had been completely ruined.

"But a great fan caught a ball and he gave it to my daughter. She slept with the ball last night and when I woke her up this morning for school, the ball was still in her hand," Vangelo explained.

Heartwarming.  Nice ending.

It pains me and embarrasses me that apparently Queens fans are gaining this reputation at The Dome.

Really chaps my ass.  The most recent was some drunk loser approaching a 10 y/o boy who happened to be wearing the opposing teams jersey after the game.  The boy's team lost, so Mr. Big Man drunk *fudge* decides to run up and scream at this kid that his team is losers and "You're a loser too!"

Seriously?  You're a grown man.  Albeit a drunken *fudge*in' idiot coward of one.  You show your team pride by making a 10 year old boy cry because he's from out of town?

I don't have a violent bone in my body.  Lover type.  Daisy in the gun barrel and all.  But I ever witness some of this type of behavior first hand  I'll take my Queens jersey off right there and shove it so far up someone's ass they'll burp Purple for a year.

OK, this followup article makes a lot more sense.  I don't think the original article mentioned it came to blows.

Vangelo told police he turned to see Clemmens with his fingers down his throat before vomiting on the 11-year-old.

Clemmens then punched Vangelo in the side of the head, prompting two witnesses, including an Easton police lieutenant, to jump in to restrain Clemmens, officials said.

One of the witnesses punched Clemmens in the face before he gave up the struggle, police said.
