I did NOT get fired for my outburst week before last. I DID have to stand before the RM, DM, and State Director of OPS and get read the riot act.
Considering my work record, perfect attendance, and customer recognition, I will not be terminated AT THIS TIME. Considering the blatant disrespect and volume of my outburst, not to mention the public nature of said outburst, my attitude and performance will be re-evaluated in 90 days. I am to consider myself as a probationary employee until said evaluation. ( SUPER DUPER DOUBLE SECRET TYPE)
If it is found that my attitude and professionalism have been maintained at the desired level, the matter will be dropped and all record of said incident removed from my work record. (Yeah, right!)
In other news, SWMBO was rear ended by some ass-clown talking on his cell phone. She was stopped waiting for someone to make a left turn, and dude plows her like a field. 40mph and no skid marks. She is shaken, not stirred and has recovered except for some stiffness in the low back and neck. The mini-van/grocery getter, '03 Windstar, 65K, immaculate, perfectly maintained (with records) is very likely totaled. We haven't had a vehicle payment in a couple of years and we weren't looking to have one for at least three more. Dude is in the Air Force and has insurance. We're letting ours (Allstate) handle everything, they'll sue the other company if needed. We ain't signing nothing till we're happy with what is offered.
Found the exact Windstar online at a local dealer, same model, paint, interior, within 5K miles of what hers was. Printed out the fact sheet and photo's, I'm not gonna let 'em try to lowball me on this.
Looking to maybe buy a repo. We have an acquaintance currently working that process. We'll wait for theirs to finalize before we attempt it though. She says she'll take the P/T Cruiser (POS I loathe) and I can get a pickemup. I'm forever and a day looking to have a bud haul stuff for me, so I could rally use one. I use lots of hickory wood for outdoor cooking and I need to haul about a cord a year for that.
I'm still damned tired. Worked 56+ hours this week.
