I'm at the Google I/O conference right now. They already gave us free droids. (I already had 2 droids before that) They just announced they're giving all attendees the sweet Sprint HTC EVO 4G phone too.  EVO 4G! |

stuff in Froyo (next Android release)
- flash
- tethering and portable hotspot built into OS
- automatic updating of apps.
- web version of Android Market
Stuff beyond Froyo
- install app through Android Market in browser, gets automatically pushed to phone over internet, no need for tethering like iTunes.
- share/stream your music library from your computer to phone.

Nice. Google TV going to be open sourced.
They demoed a neat Android app on Google TV grabbing the close captioning and sending it to google translate and getting translated closed captioning.

Actually, I've seen a lot of iPads around. And a huge number of devs here use macbooks. As for me, (during the conference) I'm packing a Nexus One and Droid in the pant pockets and the iPhone is in the backpack. (for impromptu demos) |
