The normal routine: I'm just 5 minutes from work. I skate in around 9:15, after getting to spend some morning time with my family. I didn't get that at the law firm. I work until she calls, which is usually around 6:45. Then the already-discussed racing home, etc. Usually two evenings per work-week, I go back in after we've eaten dinner and spent some time together; into the office at anywhere from 8PM to 10PM, work until anywhere from midnight to my current record of 7:45AM. (Typically, it's more like 2-3AM.) Home, to bed, up at 7:30, and spin the wheel again. We won't mention the weekends and whether there's any work done then.
Workload has been growing. Tthe irony is that I'm
supposed to grow it, so by doing my job, I make my own job oppressive! I've taken steps to minimize the impact on my life (yes, it actually could be worse) and have other steps in the wings (on the latter, I'm awaiting approval from my boss and the CEO).
I'm not militant about discrete life goals at specific time points, but yeah, there are some goals in front of me. I'm not one to jump from one position to another, but I'm also not one to just stagnate without taking stock and doing what needs to be done to work toward improvement.
