Stewart and Gordon will have full sponsorship by the end of this season.

It is possible that the 43 car field will go away, but that would just be an evolution.


Here's a little bon mot I heard from a future hall of fame driver/car owner when the old NARC series was imploding in NorCal (quite) a few years ago:

'Real racers always find a way to race more with less'

The sponsorship issues facing NASCAR help separate the wheat from the chaff.

NASCAR could help by getting rid of exclusive deals with telecoms and fuel suppliers as well, but I seriously doubt Brian France has any plans of doing so.
