Number of Days Without Coffee or Alcohol

So I tried to see how long I could go without coffee or alcohol and only made it to 3 days for both. 

Going without coffee was tough! The caffeine withdrawal headaches were killer and my productivity plummeted.

Going without alcohol was easier, but I picked up some ribeyes for tonight and felt like some wine. 

Without coffee?



I've gone months without alcohol, but take my coffee away and somebody is GOING to get hurt!

1. What MFAWG said about coffee. Probably missed a day or two once in a while but it's my last vice.

B. True story...Susan and I decided to cut back on alcohol consumption this year for a few reasons. So back in January we made a deal that we weren't going to buy it and have it in the house. Rules didn't apply to eating out. We ate out a lot.   

Come May and nicer weather the plan went to *feces*. Summer was business as usual. Labor day weekend at the lake with family was big fun and after that the plan was re-instituted. Haven't purchased any for the house since.

But I did just get back from Buffalo Wild Wings 'cuz I needed to see some football. And perhaps have 2-3 a beer.


To the point: I'm guessing I've gone a couple weeks here and there without a drink. Maybe a month once in a blue moon. 2 days tops without coffee. I will say that without having it in the house I've noticed the advantages of staying at my fighting weight. Having a beer or two every night/other night can add up.

In addition, I am going to hijack the thread......

I got a job, so I am celebrating with a drink or two....... Who wants to join me tonight?   

So far I like her, but you never know........
